Sometimes it flows slowly, sometimes it flows fast. In Japan that’s how people compare life. Like a river.
She already had the 2 fishes and the small tribal (?) like thing on the left shoulder. Her request was to connect the designs and try to make them flow together. Well, when the word flow comes together with fish (water elements) that’s how I figured it right away.
こちらのお客さんはすでに魚二匹、左肩甲骨にトライバルチックな柄が入っていました。それらを一体にしたいという事だったんで、”水”をベースに繋げていく。こういった仕事を好まない彫師もいるが、僕は基本的に一番重要な役割を任されていると思う。なんせ最終的に”まとめ役”として選ばれたので責任と喜びは大きい。
Some tattooists don’t like to do this type of work. I personally think is gratifying, as being the “last guy” to tie all things together is a great responsibility and at the same time a fun challenge.
