Continuing with the “bit’s of humor” Yōkai series. This time, Bakeneko.
Cat’s are a long time “pet’s” for drawing themes
Ukiyo-e painters, such as notorious Kuniyoshi, famous for having many cats is renown for his redemptions on the subject.
Normally he would have one sleeping inside his kimono while drawing on table and never minding them stepping over his originals or messing around the atelier.
And cat’s for being so close to mans life, always had many stories surrounding them. Mostly a bit negative or mysterious so to speak. Maybe for their free personality, they were (are) misunderstood.
Can it be more human?

ちょっと路線がずれた（？）化け猫。まあ、こんなのもあってもいいじゃないかと。
猫を題材にした浮世絵は沢山ある中でやっぱ何匹も実際に飼っていた国芳にはかなわないですかね。
なのでルールに縛られず自由に描いていきたいです。
時代に合った、自分のノリに合った化け猫がいてもいいんじゃないかな。
なんて思いながら猫を飼うか、犬を飼うか迷ってます(嘘）
